OUR INTEGRATIVE APPROACH

Our Integrative Approach to Healthcare

All of our Doctors of Chinese Medicine have received their educational and clinical training from Pacific College of Health and Science, which offers the most up-to-date education in both Eastern and Western medicine. Modalities of Eastern medicine, including Chinese medicine theory, the complete system of acupuncture, herbal medicine, and complementary modalities of including cupping therapy and gua sha were included in the 2,050 credit hours completed. Dr. Cassie Dominach has received the highest level of training available in Cosmetic Acupuncture, also through the Pacific College of Health and Science.

The doctorate program at Pacific College of Health and Science also included different branches of Western medicine, including advanced anatomy and physiology, pathophysiology, pharmacology, nutrition, orthopedic neurological examination, biochemistry, physics, and other related courses. All of our Acupuncturists have spent many course hours reading and analyzing the most up do date research in her field, as well as creating research study design paradigms for acupuncture and Chinese medicine.

This integrative approach is advantageous in order to understand when it is necessary to request and analyze lab results and imaging, understand medications and their side effects/potential herb interactions, and be able to proficiently discuss Western medical health conditions with primary care providers and other specialists. At Sage Haven, we believe that a strong foundation in Western medicine is important to be able to seamlessly integrate Eastern medicine into today’s healthcare system.

Sage Haven’s Results-Based Approach to Client Success

“We believe that the body innately knows how to heal itself, and we work with each client to find the most effective way to facilitate that transformation from within. We are not those healthcare providers who will sit you down and tell you what is “wrong” with you. We believe in finding each individual’s highest health and highest potential and working together to bring that to the surface.

At Sage Haven, we focus on improving three areas of our client’s lives: Tension, Function and Quality of Life. We use the modalities of Chinese medicine to help the body alleviate tension (physical pain, emotional stress), improve the function of all of their systems (nervous system, digestive, circulation, etc) and improve their overall quality of life so that they can live at their highest and best health.

We strongly believe that clients need to commit themselves fully to their journey to optimal health and wellness. Each client gets ‘homework’ after each session, and mindset, lifestyle, and diet are ALWAYS addressed in treatment programs. What we love most about Chinese medicine is it’s ability to treat the mind, body and spirit. When you add the appropriate modalities of Western medicine, the results are absolutely life-changing.”

“A good doctor first treats at the level of the spirit, the lowest doctor treats the disease.”
