Questions We Get All the Time
Does acupuncture hurt?
Acupuncture needles are nothing like the ones used for shots or blood draws. They are about the width of a cat's whisker and very flexible. Most people feel a dull, heavy or warm sensation, and plenty of clients fall asleep on the table. If anything ever feels sharp, tell your acupuncturist and they will adjust it right away.
Do I need a consultation first?
For acupuncture and Chinese medicine, yes, and it is not just a conversation. Your $95 New Client Offer covers two visits: a 30-minute New Client Consultation, then your first acupuncture treatment with your personalized care plan. Massage, facials and infrared sauna can be booked directly with no consult.
How many treatments will I need?
It depends on you. A typical plan starts with weekly or twice weekly visits for 12 weeks before we reassess. Chronic issues usually take longer than recent ones. Plan on at least a month to see significant change.
Do you accept insurance?
We are a cash-based practice and are not in network with insurance providers. We accept HSA and FSA payments and can provide Superbills for reimbursement if your policy accepts them.
What can acupuncture help with?
Our doctors focus on women's health: hormones, fertility and pregnancy support, stress and anxiety, sleep, digestion and pain. If you are not sure we are the right fit, call or text us and we will tell you straight.
