Sage Haven Eastern Medicine ("Sage Haven," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to sagehavensd.com, book.sagehavensd.com, our online forms and booking tools, our advertising, and the calls, texts, and emails we exchange with you.

By using our website or submitting your information to us, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

1. Information we collect

Information you give us. Your name, phone number, email address, and anything you choose to share when you fill out a form, book an appointment, call, text, email, chat with us, or respond to one of our ads (including lead forms on Facebook, Instagram, and Google).

Booking and payment information. Appointment details, membership and package information, and payment details. Card payments are processed by our booking and payment providers. We do not store full card numbers on our own systems.

Health information. Information you share about your health, symptoms, and wellness goals so we can care for you. See Section 4.

Information collected automatically. IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, links clicked, the ad or site that referred you, and similar usage data, collected through cookies, pixels, and similar technologies.

2. How we use your information

  • To respond to your requests, schedule and confirm appointments, and provide our services
  • To send appointment reminders, follow ups, and service messages by text, email, or phone
  • To send offers, news, and updates when you have agreed to receive them
  • To process payments, memberships, and packages
  • To measure and improve our website, advertising, and client experience
  • To protect our business, prevent fraud, and meet legal obligations

3. Text messaging (SMS) terms

When you give us your phone number and agree to receive texts (for example by submitting a form on our website or one of our ads, or by texting us first), you consent to receive text messages from Sage Haven about your request, appointments, offers, and related services. Texts may be sent using automated technology. Consent is not a condition of purchase.

  • Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
  • Reply STOP at any time to opt out. Reply HELP for help, or contact us at (619) 786-8960 or info@sagehavensd.com.
  • Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
  • We do not sell, rent, or share your mobile phone number or your text messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile information is shared only with service providers that help us deliver our messages, such as our messaging platform and phone carriers.

4. Health information

Information you share with our practitioners as part of your care is kept confidential and is used and disclosed only as permitted by applicable law, including HIPAA and California medical privacy laws where they apply. You can ask us at any time how your clinical information is handled. Please do not send sensitive medical details through website forms, social media messages, or text. Share them with your practitioner during your visit or through our intake forms.

We do not sell your health information, and we do not use it for advertising without your permission.

5. Cookies, analytics, and advertising

We use cookies, pixels, and similar tools from providers such as Google (Google Analytics and Google Ads) and Meta (Facebook and Instagram) to understand how our site is used, measure our advertising, and show our ads to people who may be interested in our services. These providers may collect information about your visits to this and other websites over time.

Your choices: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, opt out of Google Analytics with Google's browser add-on, manage Google ad personalization at adssettings.google.com, and manage Meta ad preferences in your Facebook or Instagram settings. Our site does not currently respond to browser "Do Not Track" signals.

6. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only:

  • With service providers that help us run our business, such as our website host, booking and practice management system, customer relationship and messaging platform, payment processors, email and phone providers, and analytics and advertising providers, and only as needed for them to perform services for us
  • When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of Sage Haven, our clients, or others
  • In connection with a sale, merger, or transfer of our business, subject to this policy
  • With your consent or at your direction

7. Your choices and rights

  • Texts: reply STOP to any message.
  • Emails: use the unsubscribe link in any marketing email.
  • Calls: tell us and we will stop calling you about offers.
  • Access, correction, deletion: contact us at info@sagehavensd.com to ask what personal information we hold about you, or to ask us to correct or delete it. We will respond as required by law. We may need to keep certain records, such as clinical and financial records, for the period the law requires. We will not treat you differently for making a request.

California residents may also ask us once a year whether we have shared personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing. We do not.

8. How we protect and keep information

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information. No website, text, or email transmission is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We keep information for as long as needed for the purposes described here and as required by law.

9. Children

Our website is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information online from children under 13. If you believe a child has given us information, contact us and we will delete it.

10. Links to other sites

Our site may link to websites and tools we do not control, such as our online booking provider and social media platforms. Their privacy practices are their own.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above shows the latest version. Changes apply from the date they are posted.
